Proximity Sensors - Alarm

Anyone fitted anything like this to their standard alarm, or done something aftermarket ? I used to have them on an old Golf i had, and they alerted me to some low life on my drive having a look at the car.

I'd really like something similar once i get the FFRR.

Talk about making people want to key your car. Except it will be your neighbours.

Why ? No one should be near the car when it's tucked up at the end of the drive, and if they are i want to know about it! It would also mean they couldn't get round the back of the house without walking past the car. Obviously i wouldn't leave them on in car parks etc.
