Best to get a valeter to machine polish it out. If you try and do it by hand you could mark the remaining black. They'll also be able to tell you whether it CAN be polished out. G4 paste is good and you can get a kit with a couple of sponges if you have to go by hand.

THANKS; its not a deep scratch but about 3in long; so annoying; yes a little bit too far to come to you
