Ryan, looking at the problems you had with your car, it may be a fair comment. However my 4.2 was a bit the same, everytime something broke, I had it fixed and the car kept getting better and better. Maybe it is worth to drive down to a "trusted" person, like Craig and let him do a good inspection of the car. It could still be a good car but just had a lot of bad maintenance and repair that needed/needs to be fixed or maybe it is a lemon.

I mean that any inspection is not a guarantee, no matter how experienced the inspector is but maybe it helps if an independent specialist looks at it and says it could be a good one or no it really is a lemon.

If you do replace it though definitely consider getting a 5.0 SC through Gary Smile Smile Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Cheers Eugene, as mentioned before, it's not the car, it's a catalogue of human error but all she can rationalise is a car that's always needing something. She likes the car but understandably feels we can no longer justify the time wasted trying to humour incompetence, apathy or both!

Had mine for just over 3 years and 31k miles from new and its replacement (not a RR) is now on order so I will be moving on from the RR in a couple of months. I have to say (tempting fate here) that it has been 100% reliable during this time and any minor niggles that have arisen have been dealt with by the local MD without question. Previous vehicles, ML350 and A6 were also both brand new and let me down at least once.

^ it's interesting that most peoples primary motivation for changing cars is unrealiablity, followed closely, I suspect, by change for changes sake, so it surprised me to read that you've chosen to move on to another marque despite almost 100% reliability and having had issues with other so called "prestige" marques".......

You pays your money and all that Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Ryan, it sounds like they have had plenty chance to correct the problems and are simply not capable so good thing to try and find a better place. RRs need a skilled hand to be kept in good condition, well at least someone who understands what they are doing. The boys in Nigeria working on it had no issues doing the actual work, just as long as I did the fault finding and told them exactly what needed to be done it worked well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

being a fickle chap I usually only keep my cars for 2-3 years so a change is now overdue and with the L405 being over 100k for the v8 diesel with good spec and beyond my reach I have ordered a Cayenne S diesel which whilst not having the presence of the RR it is a whole lot of car. I may regret it.......
