Has anyone replaced there front airbags with the latest airbag from Arnotts.

I think I might have to replace mine sooner rather than later..

Did look at them when I replaced mine a while ago but with shipping to the UK they were far more than the original Delphi's, and they last for years, so can't see the point.... Pete

Does someone know if the Arnott bags has longer suspension travel? Is there an advantage with them if you want to raise the L322 suspension to higher levels?

It's the shock that controls the maximum and minimum height, not the airbag.

The old struts (bag and shock) fitted to mine, I believe they were Dunlops, had a good couple of inches less travel than the ones I fitted, original Delphi.

You can raise the height by about 3" without issue and this still gives you a few inches drop...

You have to leave some drop or you have no suspension....

Mine with a 3" IID tool lift and 32" tyres gives 19" clearance under the sills which is more than most mildly modified off roaders Pete

Have a good snoop around the net on the quality of the bags. On this forum it seems that the Dunlop complete struts have a bit of a failure rate with the top bearings and the Delphis don't. If you only replace the bags, that becomes less of an issue of course but still it is worth checking out what is being said about the quality of the Arnotts.

I always have to think Tim Tam when I hear Arnott. For those of you who don't know (you should anyway) Tim Tam is the best cookie/bicky in the world originating in Australia. YUM !! Interesting side note, Tim Tams were born in 1964 same year as me  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

When they brought out the tim tams,I wasnt overly keen on them.Even now with all the different flavours that they come in,I'm still not keen on them.
But then I'm not your average aussie.

With regards to the bags, I remember looking into them a while back and I can't remember if I read any negative reports. There are some YouTube clips on how to replace them that are quite good.

I decided to go for the full struts as the mileage on my SC was enough for the shocks to also be replaced. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I thought you had to use Delphi bags on a supercharged because being a different set up the Arnott's are not compatible , as for the biscuits I don't have a sweet tooth so its Arnott pizza flavoured shapes all the way for me  2008 MY Supercharged

I've just heard back from the guy I bought it off and he said that he replaced the front with OEM bags,so am pleased with that.
Might be the compressor,altho I would have thought all 4 sides would go down.
I'll check the tubes and connectors and see how they are.
