Brakes feel wooden?

Fancy a set for the RR? Never have to replace your disks, no squealing and they smell nice.

Don't know about the fire risk though. Laughing

Yes, but they are fitted to every wheel on the train so at least 8 sets per carriage. It does sound bizarre but trains had these kind of brakes for many decades, even some of the diesels.
