I would tend to agree. I love the L405 but for all the wrong reasons. It's massively capable, comfy, technologically advanced, been on a crash diet, all good. But it is definitely overstyled. The bit I don't like is the price tag Sad

I agree with him totally, but this forum is full of people who are doing facelifts, side steps, body kits, big wheels, etc. People love all the chinzy cr*p.

I totally agree.
Completely.
If the trend evoque, 405 and 'discovery sport' (ex-freelander) goes on, LR will loose its soul.
All theese can be confused with other cars.
For sure, they'll sell a lot, and this is the problem....

cheers

He may be a total eejit, but i have always liked clarksons columns, they tend to talk a degree of sense although i can see why some would take offence.

I can see where he is coming from with the 405 as well:

Do I want one at the moment - No.
would I be worried about it constantly - yes
would I throw the kids, sweets, chocolate, site wellies, and tools in the back of one - definitely not

The next car will be another 322, though even the newest of these are now 3 years old! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
