Suspension Fault - again

Last year when it was very cold I had a suspension fault flag up on a few mornings if I hadn't used the car and it had been sat, usually cleared in a few miles after a stop and start !

Yesterday during a milder spot I cleaned the car and had the suspension in off road height. Then back to standard and all was well. The car has previously been sat for a week in access.

This morning, less than one mile into my journey I got "suspension fault normal height only" flag up....

Any basic checks before I get the garage to plug it in.... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Sounds like a dodgy height sensor to me sir... I presume it will achieve of road height? (so no holes in the bags)

Craig - I thought the same initially, so will get it plugged in, quite happy getting to off road height though

Stan - I had a very low battery, car been sat for almost 2 weeks without use, after just 1 year I am considering getting that checked too as it's an S5 so should be superb

I had the car set at off road, all looks level too....but then jetted under the arches.... Rolling Eyes

Only happens in the cold !!

Just come out of work....back end on the deck...sat in car park with it running for 3 mins, put in off road height....straight up, then put in normal height...straight to that....then drove home "suspension fault normal ride height only"

Is it a bag ? Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I had a bag go once but it only really showed up at off road height. The tear was underneath the crease when in normal and access so did;t seem to leak (not so much pressure either I guess) Ash

Been on the ramp tonight, no tears. Reset and fault code cleared. Suspension happy going up and down. See how it goes overnight and then back into garage in the morning if/when it drops.

Been 2 hours and no drop so battery voltage maybe ? No suspension fault on dash after a quick 20 mile wander around the roads....

fingers and toes crossed ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
