V12 Land Rover my a*se!!!!

Any decent sized engine being blipped like that in an old Series LR would cause a very noticeable amount of rocking - even if the suspension was locked solid.

Nice sound - shame it wasn't from the LR!!!

If you look through the rest of his YouTube video's you can see an under bonnet video showing the first start.

It's a Jaguar V12 that's under the hood.

I'm amazed and I hold my hand up ...... been watching the vid with the bonnet removed and I really can't work it out. I appreciate he was very gentle but how come there was so little movement from the engine when he rev'd it a wee bit?

The inertia from the flywheel, clutch, gearbox etc should still be present despite the V12 being super-smooth.

The only two V12's I've ever driven both belonged to a good friend who was a Jag' collector - the XJS and the E-Type - and both of these used to do the "bonnet dip" thing when they were blipped.

sounds nice, guess it took a lot of work though, like this fella with his radial engined motorbike, from a bomber plane. loving the smoke from this beast!
