Whilst I hope no one was seriously injured this is what happens when you drive too fast in the prevailing weather conditions. Very scary. Travelling around in circles again.

I would be very surprised if it was only one fatality! Im sure the truck driver that crashed at speed into the rear of the other truck did not walk away un-scathed Sad

A horrendous situation!

It's not about speed limits though...it's about driving according to the conditions!!

We have a 70mph speed limit in the UK, but who in their right mind would travel at 70 mph if the road conditions were as bad as that?

I was just thinking that in theory the speeds involved were almost guaranteed to be lower than the potential in the uk.
What is stunning is that sooooo many people miss judged the whole situation Shocked

I noticed the very last lorry managed to pull up and stop with clearance. He was obviously driving to the road conditions.
Everyone else is an ar@@hole for driving at those speeds... I hope they are prosecuted. Previously..

Truly everyone's worst driving situation, you can see what's about to happen, and you can't do anything! Even running down the road a bit puts yourself at risk, and distracts the incoming missiles!

I have always driven large cars for this reason, but those rigs, you can only pray!

Of course such accidents would never happen here. Oh! wait a minute motorway accidents in fog are our speciality.
