@SS, I'd be asking for a courteously car toute de suite and don't give me mine back until it's watertight, just like the old tailgate was.

Well its going to be the 12th February before Hunters can have a look but they will lend me a car as SWMBO will only just be out of hospital - it might be a few days they said but as I'll be nursey that shouldn't matter.

I suppose the good news is I'm on with it and not spending £76 with Dan - yet!! but it's another two weeks, maybe I should get some goldfish for the wheel well - nice Very Happy Geoff

Good luck with this. I had water in the spare wheel recess. Not in the left and right cubby holes though. I had the rear tailgate seal replaced at a Land Rover independent and (touch wood), it's been dry for almost 2 months now.

One of the corners of the tailgate was also slightly out by 2-3mm which they fixed by re-adjusting so this may have helped also.

I know it's taken a loooong time but the car is back with the dealer today, I have given them a clear description of the fault, leaking boot seal (worse on the nearside) after they fitted new tailgate. They've lent me a car and will be in touch when it's sorted. Maybe a day or so but as this saga started in November there's no rush Rolling with laughter

I also suggested that this time they kept their grubby hands away from the load space cover Very Happy Geoff
