i came across this unit which when installed in your vehicle ,you can call it and it'll give you its location via text...it only costs £24 and i windered if anyone has one or any thoughts on it.

i'm thinking its better than having nothing and the odds of having your FF stolen and this unit not working must be very low.. ... - .- -.

No brainer for that kind of money..I just ordered another 2 for my dads VW 1971 T2 Bay Camper and his 1966 Beetle. Will geo-fence them on-line and if they move, he'll get a free email (and / or SMS message for £1 if he wants.,)

Haylands, how difficult is it to wire up the one you suggest? I just looked at it on ebay and the amount of wires have given me a headache. I'm crap at wiring anything. Travelling around in circles again. |

I am sure Pete will answer for himself....but seeing as I fitted one yesterday I can say that whilst you can connect every wire, it is not necessary unless you want to use every feature ( unauthorised access alert, SOS button, shock sensor , fuel cut off)

It won't be long in the future before we can set the nav to return the car back home! I think I will be fitting one of these, I will probably wire a taser to the seat heater element too. |

What Paul said, I wired mine to the interior lights as the wire was nearby, but you only need the + and -
