Smoke

I have had a curious intermittent problem a couple of times. Twice about 3 miles after leaving work and in the same place both times after stopping at traffic lights I get a cloud of smoke appear from the front of the car, the smell is very much like burning oil. After pulling away the smoke disperses and I get no further problems, there are no warning lights or messages. My thoughts were a sticking ERG valve or a turbo hose, any ideas?

Why would it activate at that time?

agreed - if you get out of the car and go to the near side wheel well you can smell it more and see it. used to happen all th time with my TD6 and probably will with the TDV8 also.

Nothing to worry about Ash
