I think I have isolated my problem with the phone system in the car. When I took the car for the MOT I pulled the fuse in the DRL wiring and had my second phone in the car which was still connected to the FF and the caller could hear me fine. Tried with the fuse back in and interference was back.

I only have a cheap DRL module from ebay connected to LEDs in the original head lights, any one able to recommend a decent DRL module to turn on the lights with the ignition so I can possibly use the handsfree again.

Why do you need a module at all sir? 5 pin relay works well, ign feed one side and side light feed on the 5th pin

I am not an expert at wiring and would prefer to use a ready made solution to minimise the risk of interference and other problems. The instructions that came with the lights suggested tapping in to wires in the big black box in the engine but not at all keen on doing this.

Maybe not too urgent as my phone is not finding the Landrover Handsfree any more. (Checked the BT unit and all dry and no corrosion and less than 1yr old supplied with updated software by contact on here). May be if I had connected the interference with the lights I would not have had to try all the CCF setting for the phone to try and improve and now I have no idea what the originals were

These are the lights I have which currently come on with the ignition and stay on with the mainbeam running as DRL and also when auto lights come on. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Nice and simple, guaranteed to work and no interference with anything else on the car.

Rej, if your not comfortable with electrics sir, why not take it to someone that is? Wouldn't cost much at all for an AE to wire in a relay

Im unsure as to what DRL's you are using? BUT, if the are somewhere close to OE standards you will be blinding drivers with them at night sir! And run the risk of a pull by plod...
I run the Osram kit in mine and they have NO determined beam pattern. (much like staring at a 240v house bulb) They are just BRIGHT!!! So, at dusk/dark if my lights were not switched on, i would blind oncoming vehicles with the DRL's... Obviously headlamps have a beam pattern (as to NOT blind oncoming traffic!)
