That was in the lobby when we did the Gaydon tour... Looked nice in the flesh

I saw it at the Frankfurt motor show and didn't rate it that much. Was quite big in the flesh.

I don't mind it though.

Surely some of the underpinnings will be common to other JLR products - aren't those the types of efficiencies that are key to a successful business model these days??

Yes it is and I do quite like the jag 4x4 but the disco sport im on the fence about that.

For the jag its looks good don't know why, but would soon say yay or nay if saw in the flesh BUT why another 4x4.......what next Aston Martin 4X4 ( maybe im old fashioned ) If it dont work.......burn it!

If Bentley can produce a 4x4 (launches in 2016), then why couldn't Aston - ok, apart from the fact that they need a properly resourced long-term investment and development strategy

they might need a 'new ' platform, won't get away with that old one they been using for years  If it dont work.......burn it!

Years ago when jags were jags, there was no diesel model, or an estate, apart from a few one offs, and then they suddenly became mondeos. However the TATA parent company addressed all the problems that the new models might have had. Perhaps that was just modern design anyway. Now the name is not really attributing to its heritage.
Mercedes have gone that way too. Too many models. And their reputation in recent years with rust has not done then any favours. It's a bit of modern times versus trusted branding.
I'm sure it will be a nice car, but who would buy it? They chose a poor colour to temp me though!
Perhaps they should have put it on wire wheels and British racing green,

A Land Rover product has to cut it off road , a Jaguar 4x4 doesn't = cheeper to develop +another market segment covered .
So now all those people who buy fat Audi's or fat BMW's for the school run can now buy a fat Jag . The been counters love this kind of arse backwards thinking  2008 MY Supercharged

I like the look of it. Not as nice as the XJ, which is gorgeous, but nice.

If the bean counters say they need a "light duty" off-roader, I like the fact that it would be a Jaguar rather than a Land Rover.

I have seen it and I would take it over an Evoque or Disco Sport and definately anything from the Far East. I don't think we should knock Jag/Land Rover for producing new innovative cars as you do not have to buy them.

Smaller cars help the other all C02 targets they have to meet that's why Aston has the Iq thingy

If these cars keep the manufactures going then why not doesn't matter what they look like it your not going to buy it.

Have an opinion but for some it might be the only way outta the rat run.

Look at the current trend of packs this has nothing all to do with value for money it's a fleet sales tatic as optios aren't aloud on many fleets as the cost is written to zero however a pack is awarded a CAPID so has a Rv enhancement which means the cost impact is reduced and therefore considered it goes on

OH me I don't like it but then I won't be driving one bah a day in a demo but many do like it so you I'll buy twenty or so
