United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Aintree Green
Orders from continental Europe may be delayed...

"There are 1,400 cars and 70 to 80 pieces of construction equipment on board the Hoegh Osaka. A spokesman for Jaguar Land Rover said roughly 1,200 were its vehicles….Capt John Noble, a marine salvage expert, said the cargo would undoubtedly be badly damaged…” (BBC News). Oops. Norman

No idea if Bremerhaven was to offload or load, or some of each.
[Edited to add: looks like Weegie is right, FT is now reporting vehicles were destined for the Middle East]

Mind-boggling waste of effort: “ When there are cars onboard it is common for the manufacturers to refuse to honour the warranty, so they often have to be destroyed. As a result the insurance claim could be huge, even if she is refloated successfully” http://www.theshippinglawblog.com/2015/01/...essel.html
This suggests they won’t be offered as Cat C/D damaged for possible repair (but if so, look out for some suspiciously cheap used RR’s in about a year’s time Shocked ). I suppose it will be good for JLR’s profits (making the same order twice and getting one paid for by insurers); bad for customers who have to wait; and doesn’t make sense in the broader picture - how many wasted man hours and materials went in to making 1200 JLR vehicles? Norman

they just might set free all the jags, and range rovers adrift, and we can see scenes from a few years ago, where people are finding salvage all over the beach, and putting it all on ebay! expect to see lots of salty looking componants, and wheel sets etc.
i hope there are a few pics coming out soon!

i remember a container ship near spain i think, where they took a crane ship to it, and just chucked all the new cars into the (deep) sea!
