A bit like arm wrestling it is down to technique, the classic having broken traction so early was in trouble letters not necessarily in the right order

i think the height of the classic towbar, gave it rear grip bias, and the hence front went light.......on the sport, the terrain response, wider rubber, engine torque, sheer weight of the car, meant there could only be one crunched rear bumper. he didnt have to win by that much of a speed margin!

looks like the hip flasks had been well emptied already, for that (great) idea!
