Scotland 2005 Range Rover HSE Td6 Tonga Green
2005 most equipped hk -no sound

my range rover stereo started making a terrible crackle through speakers today-now no sound.........it has hk amp-no nav touchscreen
what is it likely to need-an amp? i bought from a car trader about a month or so ago so will contact him tommorow if its an expensive repair, the passenger heated seat also doesnt work[light goes on for a few secs then back off]
everything on the screen seems to work-just no sound-any fuse that will just stop the sound-amp is lit up inside a wee bit

for the amp to work does the phone module have to work and be connected also-completing the fibre optic loop?
there is a red light on both the fibre optic connectors-to the phone module and the amp.just no sound...

well-turns out the connections to the nokia phone unit were a little green[not bad but slightly] cleaned these and dried the unit inside -sound system now works again-will make up a polythene shield as per the land rover bodge when i re-assemble tommorow
who would have thought it seems to be wired up/designed very poorly...just like my previous x5 and also my e61 estate

they just dont cut it in the rain
