broken spring in sunglass holder

Hi,
The right hand spring in the sunglass holder has disappeared. Shocked

How does one replace it?

Rave does not show how to do it!

Any suggestions welcome. Smile

Finally found the actual workshop manual as to how to undo and do up everything. Laughing

Not if you have a father like me Craig. He gave me two big wooden boxes full of a whole lot of different springs. Compression and Tension springs. It is bloody difficult to find the right spring but hey, at least I stand a chance.

If you have a hardware store that has an assortment of springs (I had one not too far from where I lived near Rotterdam) and they allow you to match what you have, you are very lucky. Sad that in this day and age we have to dump bigger items because the cost of replacing every little part is prohibitive.

Have you looked around in the general area inside the headlining to see if the spring is still around ?? Also have a look around the car, maybe it shows up somewhere in a little crack (windscreen, dash, floor) ?? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Oh dear Craig I thought you liked a challenge.
When I bought my FF it had a floppy spectacle holder that I managed to bodge a repair on, still works nearly three years on.
And a couple of days ago I think I have repaired the passenger dash mounted cup holder with some mig wire, a drop of epoxy, a small drill bit and a power file.
