I went into Kwik fit and asked how much wheel alignment was and if they could check it, and was told it would be £44 and yes come back in an hour, before i went, the guy said what vehicle is it for so I said RR and was told to hold on a minute and he went out had a quick look and chat with some one in the garage and was told sorry we cant adjust the range rover as it has a tigh bar that they can not adjust i would have to go to the main dealer. is this true?

Sort of. If they have the old Kwik Fit system it doesn't measure all dimensions, but the later Hunter system does. Bear in mind the vehicle also has to be put into tight tolerance mode before alignment, and that requires diagnostics to enable it.

They should be able to toe the fronts correctly but thats Only part of the story. Quite a few quick fits and more f1 auto entree have the hunter Hawkeyes 4 wheel alignment rig. Consists of a dedicated ramp fixed laser post and 4 wheel reflectors. It does a full alignent on the whole car.

Quick fit et al will struggle with adjusting things like front camber and castor but should be able to do front toe, rear toe, and rear camber. Front camber is adjusted with a special tool on the top suspension mount, which they won't have...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
