Well after a little jolly Out to have fun last night I rescued
2 lorries
1 Audi
1 bmw
And one guy who needed to get to Sheffield.

The lorries were all over the place being 6x2 tractor units as soon as they had slowed they just turned it to ice and couldn't get going again and one had slid back into the position of the tractor unit facing correctly up the hill but the rear of the trailer trying to face off the barrier Sad

Took ages to sort them and once I had got them moving told them about the turning point further up on wood head where there is normally a butty can and to turn around and slowly head back down.

I later found out one of them ignore this and just carried on but only got about another mile and was stuck on the long climb up Sad

Bmw driver had started to slide into the ditch but wasn't listening to me for ages on being gentle with the throttle and which direction his front wheels should point. When he finally heeded he was out within a minute just pushing gently Smile

Audi driver had slid den off the road a little so pulled them on(thank god they had their recovering point in the spare wheel well!! And the snowploughs arrived just as she had come out so told her to stay a decent distance behind them and take it really easy. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

It's been and gone here in mid Cheshire but getting icy.
Why were so many people on the M1 yesterday despite the snow warnings? They must enjoy getting stuck. Travelling around in circles again.
