Find someone with test book or IID or faultmate MSV multi vehicle that can activate the intank pump and primary pump. then all you need to do is take the output pipe off the fuel filter and run a pipe into a suitable container.

When you do this be ready to stop the pump at any time as it can flow a good bit of fuel. Trust i filled up a few 20litre tubs when draining mine down Sad

This method gets the tank almost totally bone dry.

If you were closer i could possibly have helped Smile

also i think the hawk diagnostic thing can do the fuel pump activation as well but not 100% sure of that. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

If you haven't got a member locally who can help you can keep cycling the ignition key and that will pump for about 20seconds at a time to drain the tank. Means you don't have to climb under the car and less fuel spilt as well Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Only other way is to get into the tank via the access holes Sad

It may have had some bits in it that have blocked up the in tank pickups as the tank is more like 2 tanks, 1 each side of the rear prop shaft so there is a pump inside the tanks that balances them out.

The gauze on these is quite fine plastic mesh so even funky old diesel can choke them Sad

To get at them you need to get the spare wheel cover out, then undo the two bolts holding the rear parts of the spare wheel straps out.

Then tank the bolts out of the seat lock handles out.

Then you can push the carpet up and see the two access holes.

Start with the one on the left. Mark the access cover and body with some chalk as they only fit one way correctly.
Then remove the 4*10mm nuts and tank the cover off.

Then using a flat head wide screw driver or a drift knock the spinning lock counter clockwise until it's hand tight and then lossen it off by hand he rest of the way.
Then pull the blanking cover off. Be warned they are very stuck so need some force Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
