..the car had bleeped "coolant level low" for a week ...checked float - low ... can see wet area on tray so need to research that .... but need to fix immediately as it is my only car. ...
i researched the BMW blue coolant from Amazon (usa). paid for Prime same day delivery - arrived.... topped off ...1/2 pint of coolant+1/2 pint of water (garage door open )..(time 3:30pm)
- heated car up - bled - all ok. (time 4:00pm) - closed garage door
Time: 4:30pm ....... Cleaned up and put tools away .... (my wife never gets home before 6:30pm due to her job)
Decided to go to Walmart (time 4:45pm) to get a beer to celebrate (anyone have a better excuse on a Friday?) - cranked car - always a tense moment - lol
started ok - hit auto garage door opener - all at the same time - hit normal height switch (need low to get in USA garage) .....
put in reverse
pulled backwards - car started bleeping like mad
looked down ...expected "coolant level low"
still beeping
no power ...depressed accelerator...very slow movement - bleeping like mad
looked in rear view mirror (never felt a thing) and ....
called geico and reported that I had Reversed out of my garage and hit a car that wasn't there yesterday (I think the joke was about a tree )
anyway - laugh at my expense peeps - he gets to the claims around the 5 minute mark.
