sat nav for non sat nav beast

What items do I need for the boot(l/h side) and any others to be able to put in a sat nav system.
I only have the MID system in at the moment and the pixels are getting harder to see.
So I thought maybe an upgrade is in order.
Thanks

Buy an aftermarket or a TomTom sir...

You would spend more than the car is worth retro fitting, i would think... Sorry Neutral

+1

So much as I love my slightly more updated factory kit, if you don't have it already, it will be cheaper and much easier to do what Petes done.

Your install will be much simpler because you don't have things in the left hand side of the boot Whistle 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Retrofitting the OEM nav is not that difficult - and I should still have all the necessary parts to do the installation including a retrofit loom. It is somewhat more expensive and somewhat more work to install than an imitation BMW nav. But def worth it IMO.
Check p.4 or 5 of the "ultimate infotainment upgrade" thread - there are some pics showing my retrofit in a TD6 several years ago. Don't be alarmed by how much is dismantled in the pics - I did all sorts of other work on the car.
PM if interested in the parts.

Thanks for the various options guys.

Will look into it a bit further before I decide which is the better option.

and once it's done it's crap anyway. Probably the worst built in Satnave after the BMW and Merc ones that didn't do UK postcodes. Hopeless.

Stick with the Tomtom... Graham
