The hazard light stays on until the car goes to sleep... Initial thought would be an ECU has stayed awake not letting the car go to sleep correctly... Could be a battery issue down the road my friend... |

Right, I think I know why the hazard light was on the other night. Sometimes when I go out to SWMBO car I check the FFFR is locked. I've been out tonight to her car and checked my FFFR was locked. Before I checked the doors I looked to see if the hazard light button was lit and it wasn't. When I got around the car I noticed the hazard light was on. Left car for a while and tried the doors again. Again light was off but came on while I was checking. What brings the hazard light button on is the rear tail gate button. As soon as I press the button the light comes on. Looks like some ecu is sort of awake. The door handles don't bring the light on. |

It's normal and is a deterrent I believe as it is showing the car 'knows' someone is there before they've attempted to gain access.
