Ah don't knock it Craig. Aside from the lack of Heated screen, FBH, heated steering wheel, air-con when below +4 degrees, decent radio and some form of soundproofing, I tell you my Skoda is the danglies Thumbs Up

Wish I never needed a work hack TBH but at 220 miles a day the FFRR isn't a viable option really, plus it won't fit in the works car park. However, come the weekend it's like getting back into paradise Thumbs Up

Yeah, -3 this morning. Brrrrr.

It was -2.5C here this morning a 5am when I got out of bed. Hmmm, maybe time to use the FBH I thought.

So, at 5.45am I got the remote out, pressed the 'ON' button and hey presto!, the red light flashed onto the remote. Glanced out the window to see a nice cloud of smoke rising from the front wheel arch.

Went to finish my coffee before heading out, then suddenly SWMBO rushed downstairs and into the kitchen.

'I don't want to alarm you', she says, 'but your car's on fire!'

'What?' I asked...

'Yes, there's smoke coming out from the wheel arch! Should I call the fire brigade?'

Took a quiet slurp of coffee, put the empty mug on the table, looked at SWMBO and simply said...

'You can call them if you want but by the time they get here, I'll be halfway to work'

????????????? I could see the look on her face, so as I walked to the door I glanced back, laughed and simply said 'FBH on Remote. See you tonight'

AHHHHH, what would I do without SWMBO!! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Had the scary "BONG" this morning in the FFRR

Eyes averted quickly down to the display and was glad to see it was only for the outside temperature at 2.5° and nothing more sinister Laughing Laughing

Ahh fired up the FBH TWICE!! yes TWICE this morning Smile

Thought i was going out earlier than i was so kicked it in before i hit the shower and then realised i was about 2 hours ahead so went back to bed but forgot to turn it off.

Went for my shower at the correct time and turned it back on.

when i got to the car the whole thing was defrosted never mind just the windows and interior! even the doors had the frost lifted off them all the way down and the lower tailgate was nearly done Very Happy

Cracking job from the Varta! still turned over a treat and no low voltage warnings and the thing was on the road so not hooked up to the Ctek!

I'm SOOOOOOO glad i fitted that battery Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
