You'll see now Scarey why I didn't post yet today...

Ask a question like this in a technical forum area and the RR style police come knocking. Laughing

you could always use 5w 5500k super high bright led's in your side lights,i see them some where on ebay.. they are a magnifield glass dome led bulb, very bright with a wide veiwing angle, these would be ideal driving lights as i would rather keep my fogs as fogs, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Daveo, I had those LED's in the side lights of my RRS.............................. they weren't THAT bright that you could drive with them, but they made good DRL's combined with the Audi style row of LEDs under the main lamps

And you lot keep harping on about RR Sports being bling or blinged up, there's as much of it quietly going on on here too Rolling with laughter Nowt wrong with it either, would be a boring world if we didn't want to look different from the next car 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Yeah, I tried that on my D3. Doesn't work too well though since HID's take 3 or 4 seconds to warm up as I found out. Replacement 100w halogens are lots better.

Better than 55w Halogen but about the same as 100w halogen. Just a PITA that they took too long to warm up. OK on long dark country lanes but anywhere you have to dip regularly they were a nuisance.

looks like i've stirred things up here ..

@darrenmax..thats the kind of thing but i'm going for the VW look where the drl's are in the main beam light.

@macdaddy ..should get the leds this week so i'll stick some pics/video up asap..i've gone against the AUDI look as that would be naf on a big car like the FFRR..

@fox...i know you like the FFRR as it is but i'm trying to slightly customise mine so it looks a little different to all the other FFRR's out there.

@mzplcg..not a fan of drl's then.. Very Happy

@daveo..i got big smd's in my sides already but i want to be able to switch on my FFRR and the lights come on automatically ,hence the drl control box feeding the fogs [at the moment] and when i get my new leds , the main beam. i've noticed that when you put your mains on, a flap on the hids flicks up and you get a sort of main beam effect from the hids which seems to completely 'out shine' the halogens, so dont think changing these will have much effect.

@tim.. Thumbs Up

my intention also is to wire the fogs up to main beam wiring so i will be able to flash' my lights when needed..of course all this will be put back to normal when MOT day comes.. ... - .- -.
