My previous rangie 2007 got the heated seats really hot really quickly .
My newer MY2010 seems
a. to be slow
b. to not get very hot
c. maybe even intermittent
Anyone got any thoughts? Geoff

noticed that too on my replacement nappa wheel, heats really fast. SO hot hands and bum, can't say fairer than that  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Because the climate seats are air heated and cooled the engine needs warmth to heat your backside. Discovery 4 HSE

Thanks all, obviously patience and RTFM are required. I have a supplementary question for those with later models - when the A/C dial is set to Auto the lights round the dial (fan speed) don't illuminate, they did on my 2007 and the aforementioned manual isn't clear -is this correct? Geoff

IIRC Climactic seats are indeed air heated / cooled but the air is blown over a peltier cell to generate heat / cold and is not part of the heater matrix air circuit.

Having now driven a few miles in Arctic conditions I can confirm that the seat warms up slow and the steering wheel fast.

Both are great in their own way  Geoff

Interestingly the drivers seat front filter had fell off, just put it back - obviously it was clean as a whistle as it hadn't been filtering. Whilst I was messing about the seat was heated - this is all very puzzling to me  Geoff
