Shocked Shocked Just because it says Sport on the badge, it don't make it a racing car Shocked Shocked
There aren't half some Muppet's out there, If your going to thrash it around the Nerd t*rd ring in a 4x4, at least have the brains to do it in something with a lower centre of gravity, like a Scooby, or an audi (not the Q's) or a Lambo. And the list goes on, there are thousands of 4 wheel drive cars that are under 4 feet tall, so why pick one that's over 6 foot?
That would explain why Land Rover doesn't have a Formula 1 team Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Nice bit of car control though, could have ended a lot differently.......

But yes, Censored head..... It's not a track car, it's a disco with a frock, it has no business on there at all. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I can only relate to my own experiences. Cheap tyres are cheap for a very good reason, i.e. They're Sh*t. Over the years, and on many differing cars I've tried quite a few.

On a FFRR I only use Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. Even over Contis and the dealer supplied (and truly dreadful) Nexens the Pirellis win hands down every time. Comfort is good, noise levels are low, grip is excellent and the M&S ones are great winter tyres, IMHO a lot better than the popular Vredesteins.

And yes, my OCD makes me have all 5 matching, even the spare.

If ever proof were needed I've just dragged a neighbour out of the hedge down the road. Car written off, her thankfully un-injured, nobody else involved and guess what.....TIGAR branded tyres all round. Apparently it just slid on the bend. Yep, that's what tyres designed for Mediterranean climates do in Englandshire, especially when it's wet.

The trouble is that I have to share the road with people who buy the cheapest tyres possible, and probably part worn brake pads too. Rolling Eyes

Not sure, I'd not noticed that. I managed to buy 5 at my local tyre dealer without issue. Since they're so good you would hope the replacements would be an improvement.

They seemed to have changed them so that that they had one set of ZZ down the middle rather than 2, with less sipes and cuts. They were on the website for a while but have now disappeared.

I have seen plenty of the old style in my local tyre place in 19" but he doesn't keep 20" in stock. When the miches are done the pirelli a will be going on. I'm wondering whether to pre buy some of the older stock, as the new ones dont look as grippy and seem more like michelins in terms of tread style (if not pattern)

Edit just spotted:
