2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Video from Tong off road course...

A short video from last Sunday at Tong...

The green Grand Cherokee at the start is Will (Kingpleb) he's been having us over all this time, we don't think he's got a FF.... . The FF in front later is Paul (Paulmoran2) and Howard (SMUTT) riding shotgun, I've got Mark (Mjdronfield) in with me.

Was a nice day up till the point Paul had a mishap with some scenery, unfortunately I wasn't behind him at the time...

2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

I enjoyed just watching that..... did the green wading FF that opened the door, (after) suffer any internal ingress? ie flooding? I see its snorkelled, and built up a bit..
I would like to do some dryer off roading, as deep puddles/wading scare me a bit.

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

2013 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Mariana Black

Despite my little sideways excursion , we had a great time and surprised a few disco and defender drivers.

£650 worth of body shop work booked in for Friday, and a new rear light being delivered tomorrow ....so all is good with no real harm done apart from a painful operation to prise my bum cheeks apart that afternoon.

AFAIK, Pete didn't get any water ingress following his deep water run (x 2) and the water seen running out when he opens his door is the water that got trapped between the lower and upper door seals

2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

looked like fun but a bit narrow in places and some pretty deep ruts without underside protection.

I did an off road event in a 6 month old Kia Sorento about 10 years ago, water over the bonnet and although I didnt do the mud run never got stuck but did put a few dents on the underside that were still there when I part ex'd it five years later.

Don't mind water or mud but would be wary of some the drops and trees not being an off road expert. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Well I was co pilot in Petes (Haylands)

Piggin well impressive where these things will go.

Some of the other drivers had more bespoke kit. We didn't need any of that.....

No water inside, what you can see is water from the box sections underneath and as Paul said you do get a bit in the doors... has to be under water for a good 4-5 mins before water finds it's way through to the inside, which I know to my cost!!!

The suspension system on the FF is far better than live axles at keeping the underside from making contact, mine is pretty bullet proof underneath with it's protection but in all the off roading it has done I have only heard it hit once and that was on some terrain that you wouldn't even think of doing in a standard one...

It is amasing how much better these FF's are compared to earlier Land Rovers, the electronics are very impressive... Pete

Looked like great fun, and just what I would like to do down south. Great to see the FFRR in action proper, coping with everything in its stride .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember
