2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Intermittent fuel gauge

Morning all,

Filled the Range up yesterday and having a few issues since. My fuel gauge keeps going from full to empty randomly.

Any ideas - or have I just over filled and will sort itself out?

Cheers,

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

It will be back, eventually, the tip is to try not to completely brim it. I think one of the rheostats on mine went in a particular place, was fine for the rest of its travel so would only show a problem when brimmed.

For a while at least...... Then it was all over the place!

Sender is quite pricey, but the dealer fitted it for a reasonable price...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It's a known issue. I would think LR will contribute or pay for it. Mine was replaced when my vehicle was covered by extended warranty and LR Warranty said that LR foot the bill not them.
