Just traded the everyday Volvo V40 D2 in for an ex demo V60 D6 Hybrid - so far so good, with the commute to work showing 180mpg - ok its only 16 miles each way and it is quite strange doing it in complete silence. Would never have entertained a new one at £50k plus - it just doesnt make sense, but this one was 6 months old, 10k on the clock for just a little over £30k - a new V40 to the same spec was going to be nearly the same.

Quite impressed so far and will be much easier once British Gas come and fit a dedicated fast charging point for me. Electric only range not quite the quoted 31 miles but needing heaters/lights on at this time of year going to have an impact. Acceleration when the diesel and electric work together is quite remarkable for what is a heavy estate car, although the 180mpg goes right out the window.
