I've bought a 2007 Range Rover Sport SC

Well, sort of!

After a lengthy process of cajoling, I have finally managed to persuade my parents to get rid of my mum's immaculate but boring Jag S Type and swap it for a 4wd, as she quite often is up on our shoot or taking three dogs out for a walk.

Anyone who knows me will know I love to talk people into getting Supercharged Range Rovers (Or ANY Range Rover), so I helped mum buy a Sport Supercharged this week, a 2007 MY Java Black with Ebony interior, totally standard 70,000 miles, FSH and receipts. It's in very tidy order and as she does about 1500 miles a year will last her a long time. We pick it up next week.

I test drove it and the noise of the Supercharger took me back a few years to when I had mine back in 2005 onwards. What an awesome car. Can't wait for my mum to start enjoying it.

Once I've got a picture I'll show you what it looks like. Thumbs Up

Craig,

I had NO IDEA you were selling one but I suspect that was more money than my parents could have gone to.

Is there a for sale advert somewhere? Discovery 4 HSE

Good work! Thumbs Up

Parents who do low mileages and buy an excellent value V8 show a lot of sense.

A few years ago I managed to persuade my parents out of their beloved BMW and into an '09 Freelander. They like it (Land Rover) so much, they're now thinking of upgrading to the new Discovery Sport next year.

There's no way I've been able to make my parents see the value you've clearly done so well to impart about a well maintained V8 LR. How did you manage it? Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

It's just a common sense type conversation really:

She doesn't do many miles or long distance so has no need for a diesel, and it protects against potential DPF issues
She needs a 4WD to get the dogs in and to go on the farm where we shoot
We have always had Land Rovers and Range Rovers in the family
The Sport SC has loads of toys she's never had before
The SC is smooth and silky

Plus it looks 'right' having an L322 and an L320 on the driveway, both in black. Cool Discovery 4 HSE

Lovely car Craig, sadly would have been about £5k too much for their budget.

Did you sell it in the end? Discovery 4 HSE
