England 2013 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Mariana Black

Loverly Job Miggit ....I would have to say that the idea suggested By EMong to drill a hole (where your knurled bit is) to allow a rod to be slid thru to make a T handle, sounds like a great evolution....would certainly make fitting / removing easier.

I have to fit my 19"s this afternoon ready for tomorrow's play day at Tong, so hopefully they'll make the 4 wheel swap easier this time Thumbs Up GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

I don't recon I'd use a rod though, as I don't have any sort of knocking about, whereas I do have a screwdriver or a spanner or a pair of pliers........

Suppose you could slide a small screwdriver through the hole though........

A phillips No2 or a Pozi No2 would be a much better thing than a screwdriver, but a bar for the use of, could be included in the final kit! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

A female Allan-key or torx bit in the end? Or if easier a 1/4" or 3/8's socket drive square hole in the end so you can just very easily click your ratchet on to undue it if its tight Thumbs Up

I know that it looks professional, but how big do you think me shead is?
Unfortunatly I do not have drop forging capablilties, so the stamped ends are but a dream, plus it would mean that I'd got to move the 3/4 ton milling machine, and that is something that I really don't want to do. It was a real mission getting it in there, as it involved getting it down a slope at the side of the shed. I very nearly got run over Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Funny you should say that, the lads Nick named me Fred, on account of owning 2 lathes, a universal milling machine, and a pillar drill!
I just wish that I had his workshop, although I think I'd be tempted to convert everything to electric power, cos the neighbours might get the hump with steam power Very Happy Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

UPDATE...N Cap Test....Failure...D'OH!

Well I went and tested the MK1,and it was a spectacular failure... The threaded bit wasn't deep enough, and it wobbled Shocked

So back to the lathe, and I came up with the MK1.1... and that too failed,D'oh!!... and back to the lathe again.

After a bit of Censored Censored , I produced the the MK1.3, and ... it don't wobble Exclamation

So spurred on by my eventual success, I went on to produce it's little Bro'.
And then I went on even further and produced the Mr'T' handle, for wimps. And after all this I've found time to re-test it all and get photographic evidence Very Happy

So with further a-do, I give you Gents the MK 2 and the MK1.45 Thumbs Up For those of you that are easily offended, I must apologise that they are both naked, along with Mr 'T Handle'

And lastly introducing Mr'T Handle'

Used mine today...I found the easiest method was to fit one tool and then lift the wheel on (with my hand thru the wheel spokes allowing me to feel the tool end and align it with the hole blindly). Once the wheel was on the one tool, slid it towards the hub then screwed in the 2nd tool in to allow hub centre alignment.

However, , i think miggits idea of of one long and one short would work well , as the long one allows you to guide / support the wheel, with the 2nd shorter one allowing hub centric alignment. I found that they screwed In / unscrewed out easily enough, but a hole drilled for a screw diver to make a T handle is a great idea too

Overall, a great little tool Thumbs Up GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy The wait is over! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Miggit Enterprises is proud to present.........

The Guide-o-Matic automatic wheel alignment tool

Santa's Elves have been bashing away in the work shop, and have come up with a limited number of sets. These have been extensively researched, lovingly hand crafted in the finest steel, and finished in a durable finish, that matches the best firearms made.
After long and hard consideration, I'm prepared to part with them, for £30 + postage a set.

The long and short of it is, I've had to make them on an antique lathe, and this has literally added hours on to the production time. They have been Blued (Gun Finish) and will need the occasional light oil (rubbed with an oily rag) to keep them at their best.

If your interested in a set pm me and I'll do my best to fill your order, but remember these are a limited edition, for the moment. If there is enough demand I will commission a production engineers to produce greater numbers.
