Wrong way to look at things.... no one buys a luxury car because it makes sense, of course we'd all be better off if we drove a Citroen C1 1.0 but where's the fun in that? Whistle Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

If it was value for money at the forefront of our minds when buying a leather clad comfortable off roader we would actuall all be driving either a Kia sorento or Hyundai Santa-fe.......

We don't obviously care about value for money, quite blatantly........

We just like driving the best 4x4xfar..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I'm not so sure. I recon I have value for money, whereas the others just have cheapness, and not as much bang for your buck, if you consider what the ff is new.

Pound for pound, I'm sure we get more out of it. We have cars with soul, heritage and character. I would say you can't buy that, but TATA did.......

Other cheaper alternatives are fine, but you have to actually be sitting in it when going from A to B, which would grind with me I'm afraid.

I wonder if people would still buy those cars if they didn't have a warranty, as that what seems to drive people that are not so into their cars.

I find that generally, if you are not interested in something, you are not very good at it. I see this all the time on the roads..... You can tell by the car being driven......

Saying that, I spent a few years doing Quality Audits on suppliers, and if you want a Focus, and are given a Rolls Royce, they have not met the requirements....... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Father's wife had two Hyundais including a Santa Fe. They hated them and they didn't last long before they were replaced. They may be cheaper than Land Rovers, but I don't remember them being any more reliable.

Good points,, mjdronfield. Thumbs Up
