United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue
Rear Mod For Off Roading

Obviously as our beloved rr's get a bit older and cheaper, more people are using them in earnest for off roading.

I did a bit of an image search and found the pic below from over the sea.

Not much other info though.......

Looks like it's got a heavy duty rear / winch bumper fitted. I wonder what the front looks like. The FFRR bumpers may look nice and shapely, but they ain't no good for bolting extras on to, like bow shackles, winches, drop tow hitches and anything else you can think of! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Yes, it's leagues behind the Range Rover Classic for modability.....

Unless of course you like chrome Whistle

It's going to look tatty pretty quickly in standard form if you get a few scrapes on it. Doesn't seem to add the same character like on a Defender...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Just done a quick image search, wasn't aware you could get these ;

The one above seems to be a modified Disco 3 ARB one.

Yea, Pete mentioned some of his plans when I was up there a few weeks ago.

It's gonna be good when he's done, if he ever actually decides it's finished......

So if I've read this right, the black bumper is an ARB D3 thats been modded to fit the FFRR, cos it looks like a dam fine fit. And the sort of thing that I'm interested in. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The text being inbetween the pics confused matters..... The silver one is a D3 bumper ;

You could always get a Bodyshop to tailor the front wing joint to look better.

I think the black one is fabricated.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Some investigation regarding the black bumper has led me here ;

Hummm.... So it's back to DIY again, must say that they have done a first class job. So the only real question is, are there implications to changing the bumper? I know that there was a lot jumping and shouting about Bull Bars, and that they were going to be banned. Did this ever come to light or was it a storm in a teacup? I never payed much notice to all that, cos I had an old Rangie, and they would have had to back date the legislation to when Noah was a lad, to catch me! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... 2001 "ish" onwards bull bars produced for UK market passenger cars (not commercials) must only be made of plastic... Hence all OE FF bull bars are plastic...

Before anyone pipes up saying "I've seen chrome/metal ones for sale" they are for the Aussie market and the legalities are very much a grey area over here in the UK... Thumbs Up
