United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red
FBH Operation

Hi all, I've read numerous threads on this but not found the answer to my query.

I have a 2007 Vogue and have a T90 remote for the FBH. When I press the ON button the heater comes on so I know it is working but I have been reading the manuals ( I was debating getting a spare and realised I have a T80 not a T90) and cannot get it to operate as per the instructions.

When I press ON the LED lights green and when I press off the LED lights red. The light doesn't flash when in operation. I've tried to hold both buttons to check the mode, heating or cooling, and pressing them simultaneously twice to change the mode but nothing happens. I haven't left it running long enough to check that it is heating but will do in the morning now it is colder.

My question(s):

Is there a problem with my unit?
Does my model only have heating, not heating and cooling?

Thanks in advance.

Cooling is just ventillation, not ac, the heating should work when the temp is less than 16deg. Does one or the other dependant on external temperature.

When you press the on button the orange dash light should light up and flash, either way. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The button lights up but according to the webasto manual the remote should flash and you should be able to change mode. Is it different on the RR? Is it automatic depending on the external temp?

Thanks Stan,

That suggests mine will only heat but it does say the remote fob should flash every 2 seconds which mine doesn't. The heater does work though, I put it on this morning and nearly passed out when I got in Shocked

My remote doesn't flash when working but the timed climate light on the dash does. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

just bought my 2010 model range rover 2 months ago. first thing i did was change batteries on smart keys and remote fob for the heater. first time i tried it last week the green light on the fob flashed once and wouldn't start the heater.
the car was in to the dealers the other day and they re paired it to the car and it worked as it should yesterday morning.
fobs green light flashed while the heater was on. mine must have lost pairing when i changed the battery. guess yours must need re pairing too.

sorry fish i got the wrong end of stick, i thought you couldn't get the heater to work off the fob. Embarassed
sorry if i caused any confusion.
owners handbook for mine says:
dependant on the external ambient temperature, the system will automatically choose to draw in fresh air to cool the cabin,or to operate the optional auxiliary heater to warm it.
hope you manage to get it sorted.

Cheers,

It's working just not quite as described in the manual. Never mind Smile at least it works.

Having read various posts a I gather a T91 fob will work with mine.

Not sure on the T80/90 remotes but the ones I had and sold all flashed when in operation.

Only downside with the newer remotes is their range isn't someththing silly like 2km but more like the normal key fobs range. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
