England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
A day off roading in the Yorksire Dales (pics and video)

Spent the day greenlaning in the Yorkshire Dales yesterday, was a 70 miles trip with lots of lanes, weather was a bit miserable but there were some great views and some interesting lanes.... Took Paul (paulmoran2) along for the ride, can't understand why he didn't bring his FF.. Laughing























Actually managed to get it stuck on Westcam steps, didn't give it enough speed to start off with and had all four wheels spinning against the wet rock... front wheels stuck against some and one rear wheel trying to get up a 15" step... just wouldn't have it so Paul and others built a little rock step and it finally got up... Did the rest of the day with ease....

Few hours this morning cleaning it up...

Got home and it looked like this.... not too bad really...



Gave it a wash and it's now gained a bit more character....!!!

That's well impressive Pete.

I would have had to spend all day cutting the branches back and moving some rocks about before I'd take mine through the tight bits !

Makes me want my old Classic again......

Thumbs Up some nice long lanes up there, (recognise one of then too, one with the footbridge) I too wouldn't use the ff, far to much body work to polish afterwards Laughing If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Love the photo. That car needs a nice anchor on the bonnet and a life ring with HMS Rover on the roof! Shocked

I did look into wrapping it but enough to do the whole car is actually more expensive than I can respray it for... I'm not fussed about the scratches it's for playing after all....

99% of the scratches would come out with a machine polish but if you do it too much it'll take all the paint off... probably give it a good polish next spring....

When it starts to look real tatty I'll just respray it and start again.... Pete

Twas a thoroughly enjoyable day (and night) out...The images and video really don't do justice to the slope angles, steps and weather conditions on the tops. I struggled to stand up (to take pics etc) most of the afternoon as the ground was very slippy underfoot, and the wind hit you so hard it was hard to stand still. That machine of Pete's is amazing Bow down

One of the sections had brambles, trees and bushes both side that arched over so much they touched in the middle of the track (more like a single row footpath)...all we could hear was the creaking, squeaking and grinding of the thorns down the paintwork...like someone dragging their nails down a blackboard Big Cry ...all Pete did was grin...jeeze
