Boy's Boy's Boy's

Rosco old son I'm sorry to tell you it hasn't been god's country for a long time now unless you mean Allah

Joker

You really must catch up with the times clean shaven is now all the rage............

All jokes aside now the UK is not what it used to be, I always thought of England as my home but not any longer
after spending 6 months sorting out dads estate I came to the realisation that its now just a dumping ground
for the rest of the worlds un-wanted and that .UK Gov is just to spineless to do anything about it. They just ask
Brussels how much further to bend over you would't think we won the war would you.....

In the 6 months everyone we spoke to had someone they knew in Oz or were thinking of moving themselves

Anyhow back to topic it would be nice to get a few FFRR out in the Aussie bush show you guys what "Wild camping" is all about

So come on all you Sydney FFRR a bit of dust wont hurt the Rangie come for the day come for overnight as the old add says "Just Do It"

Hi Ziggy, from what I know of both UK and Oz I would agree with your assessment of the UK (and other EU countries for that matter). What I also notice is that the recent Australian governments are also not doing well and slowly destroying Oz as well. Short term thinking is the norm these days, just to get another term in the hot seat to make money it seems.

The long term thinking that was typical after WWII has been replaced by short term thinking with potentially devastating results. I think that the democratic system is showing its serious drawbacks as the "general population" seems to be "not smart enough to know what is right for them". Democracy works well in countries where the average population is well educated, smart and sensible. Unfortunately that is not the case in these difficult times where we are going through a massive change in economics and politics.

The O&G industry is clearly failing with devastating effects on the economy and politically and religiously the world is in quite bad shape.

Bottomline is, Oz is pretty good (and we have it very high on our "retirement" list) but it is also quite badly affected by stupity.

So enjoy it while it lasts ladies and gents Wink MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I would agree with you 99%, Oz still has a long way to go to catch up with the UK and Europe, and I think the
western .Gov's are all beginning to realizes that mass immigration and multiculturalism just does not work
and so will be imposing more stringent laws on immigration, If so OZ has a good chance of avoiding the shocking
state of affairs that the UK and most of Europe are in now. We still have time to act before the very nature of this country is changed as in the UK and Europe.

Mate there's no better country to live in............
