Secondary Air injection (SAI) sysyem......... where is mine?

A friend has just called round with his new FFRR (yes he is heading this direction) to plug it into my RAC. we were having a look under his bonnet and he had a bit of extra shiney stuff. i wasn't sure what it was so i've had a look on RAVE and its the SAI valve. My car runs fine but i don't have this or the associated line work. I've never removed it or had it removed or even know what it does. can anyone shed any light on this? ive never seen it come up on here either. Yer I've had a read in rave and its for a secondary burn in the exhaust for emmisions, BUT cant understand why mine is missing or not there from the start???? where does it tie into the cylinder head and i will try and see if mines blanked. I've read about EGRV blanking and understand that but ive never heard anything about this system. only bit of info was from Dan_Uk when he was asking about someone's 2006 facelift conversion and light fitting. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

nope. it hasnt been there from day 1. im wondering if a previous owner removed it or if landrover modified the engine at any time????? Who knows? It does show any errors so it cant be that bad, just strange. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
