Stormers?

Hi all,

I'm still on the look out for some new wheels, I have seen some wheels named 'Stormers' ,

some adverts say original LR Stormers are these OEM LR wheels or all aftermarket ?

Excuse me if this is an obvious answer, still a newbie around the LRs

Thanks Thumbs Up

As far as I know Overfinch produced the Stormer style alloy not LR although some with more knowledge will be along shortly no doubt. Good looking wheel IMHO Thumbs Up

Stormers were for the RR Sport. LR made them and were standard on some of the models. There are loads of copies though, available aftermarket. None of them are the right width for the ff and wider tyres end up being fitted.

Confusingly people call all sorts of wheels Stormers if they look similar. They don't know any better.

As mentioned above style 9 or 11 are prob what you are after and are the right size in 20 inch for the ff.

Just make sure you buy original wheels lots of the copies are not strong enough and can take the load and if you have a knock the insurance co won't pay out

CTC what colours are those 2 vehicles and wheels

I have a Stornaway and thought gunmetal wheels would look to much of a 'oneness'? But looking at those Mmmmmm!

RR is Bonatti Grey & Bobtail is Orkney Grey... Your Stornaway falls in the middle of these two colours Thumbs Up

Both sets of wheels i had painted a particular Fiat grey (including the role cage etc etc)

Maybe a better shot to see the colour difference (darker wheels & cage)
