Drove an XJ today

As above planning on changing my RR next year. Road tax is a nightmare at 1800 euro and since I pay enough tax have decided to look at something more tax efficient. Secondhand Range rovers are ridiculous at 70k for a 2011 so looks like my RR days might be over for a while.I drove the 3.0 diesel XJ Premium luxury it was a UK import on a 2011 plate and they wanted 50k for it .. Nice car but felt very underwhelmed and was glad to get back into the RR the search continues. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
Gone Audi A5 2.7TDI
Gone Discovery 3 HSE
Gone Mercedes CLK
Gone Range Rover 2.5 DSE

With that reasoning, how about the United States? Used car prices there are very reasonable. Very little diesel - the LR and Jags are all of the large petrol variety. Mr. Green
