Switzerland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I must say I'm confused by the controversy. I will admit that I didn't check what version mine was when I bought it, but it was a diesel with Sat nav and a refurbished transmission and warrantee, and they were more important rather than more/less gadgets. If you asked me to order SE, HSE, Supercharged etc I couldn't, apart from guessing HSE is above SE.

When a FFRR goes by I don't look at the badge and think 'oh, it's only an SE', or 'fake, it says HSE but it's really an SE'.

As regards what's on the back of my car, it says HSE, maybe that's fake, I've no idea. If the car was newer it would make a difference, but it isn't, it's nearly 8 years old. I'd prefer it to have no badge.

Obviously there is a difference between the specs and on a new car that difference in trim spec is about £20-£30,000. On a used car the difference varies, 3-5k difference even on the oldest of L322...

Why would you buy a car, not knowing the difference in the trim level = not knowing the actual value of the car you're looking at.

FYi, HSE is the middle spec.

No leather dash, door handles or cubby box lid. No heated rear seats or steering wheel. Heated screen, rain sensing wipers were optional.
The killer for me would be the seats, there is a massive difference between the Vogue and SE seats, the HSE can have the Vogue seats as an option I believe.

And I do look at the badge on the back, if I see a supercharged badge on a diesel, then this irritates me. If I see a Vogue badge on an HSE I think that person is a twunt.

Because the car I bought had all the gadgets I wanted and the condition was far more important than the spec at that age.

I agree to switch badges is twunt-ish, but why get irritated by it when it's so laughable?

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

My first Range Rover was a 2002 Vogue V8 with a LPG conversion, it was black with tinted windows and black & steel stormers with dark tail lights and S/C Side grilles and...........it had a Supercharged Badge on the back and I never thought anything of it so left it there even though it was obviously not an S/C as no rear pipes or even a S;C front grille.

The fact is for a cheap RR it looked and drove really good and as then a non Range Rover aficionado and FFRR member I was none the wiser I might be winding Dan up big time Laughing

I think if you have cash in your wallet then its really up to you what you do with you car so Pimp if you please as long as you sell it described as the model/car it really is as Bigl322 was doing after all!!!

Belgium 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Ipanema Sand

To me, the first post was very clear and in respect to bigl322 and his great country I could spend a few days in, I did a SEARCH, you know as in search, and quote some off Dan’s post’s:

Tue Dec 09, 2008 6:17 pm:
The ticket price was 12k and I got for 10600 for an 03 vogue with LPG

Sat Sep 19, 2009 4:29 pm:
I bought mine with LPG already fitted and paid 12k for it. 2003 Vogue 110,000 Miles Oct 2008

Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:22 am:
My 2006 is totally silent but my 2002 LPG (in the boot) is like a very load vibrating Fart!

Wed Jan 06, 2010 3:56 pm:
Personally I would sell it and buy a Vogue, there isn't a massive price difference. I paid £11,000 for my Vogue with LPG

16th Sep 2010 9:40pm
Mine was advertised at 15K and I paid 11K for it

So, what is it, a 2002 or 2OO3,was the asking price 12000 or 15000, did you buy it
for 11K, 12K or 10600?
Did the 2002/2003 models came with a roof antenna?
How would some Vogue 4.4 drivers call a person who runs his FFRR on LPG?
Cutt off.

You may want to re-check some of those "quotes", please if you're going to quote me make sure you:
a, get the correct person
b, cut and paste correctly otherwise you end up looking like a bit of a 'tard.
and c, can I refer you to #9.

And to clarify:

Buy it now of £15,000
Won for £12,000 on eBay
Paid £10,600 on the day (because I wasn't happy with the condition) (very sorry if I rounded up to £12,00 in the past)
And it's a 2003, I've never claimed that it was a 2002

Are you unfamiliar with the concept of rounding? £10,600 or I can just say 11K which isn't that far off the mark now is it?

It's really quite simple, the car was advertised on eBay with a "buy it now" of 15K I bid for it instead and got it for 12k and then upon inspection knocked an extra £1400 off the price.

Exactly what part of that is a load of Censored ?
