Thanks Pete, as I mentioned it is down south with daughter who is a bit of a bimbo (her words not mine). I am at a bit of a loss as not with the vehicle. Apparently it went in for plating, passed then turbo blew, as a sceptical person it annoys me but we are still in this position, bloody annoying |

Are you (or she) confident on the colour of the smoke? If it were white that would imply water getting into the combustion chambers which would point at head gasket.
