I ordered a dedicated tow wiring kit from PFJones ebay, for my 2012 TDV8. On their advertised pictures I saw the relay and ECU besides the cables and harness + 13pin plug.



Although when I received their pack the relay and ECU were missing...

Open a case against the seller , ask for a refund stating Item not as described also mention it is not OEM product as mentioned in their Ad and that it is selling a product with mis-leading information due to the photograph.

I am assuming you have read the small print in the ad and that it states that all that is within the picture is for sale.

Sooner you do it the sooner ebay will hold the transaction ...

Or you can go one better to get an immediate refund , but thats for further down the line if you do not get any joy with opening a case ....

you won't need an ECU on the 12MY not sure about the relay.

I would suggest giving PF Jones a ring first before taking any further action to see if they can sort it, they seemed very helpful when I rang them.

Dear Joker, although I love your approach towards ebay, but now I think I`d be a bit more patient!
And Dan, thanks for the good advise on the ECU, then the same could be the case with the relay, hopefully, and then all might be fine...
Moreover as I needed an international shipment on the item, PFJones was... hm... not on the top, to say the least. Took me 3 weeks only to make the order... Then the shipping.
Anyway, as soon as I get back from business trip, I`ll look into this and try to install myself.
Anybody did similar installation on 2009-12?
Moreover on my vehicle specs sheet it reads "Towing Prep ROW". This might mean that the ECU&relay installed? Because otherwise I do not see any sign of any other tow preparation on my FF. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue MY12
