considering buying myself a retirement present so I have been using the LR configerator to establish my specification of a tdv6 VSE

I like the look of the new red - montalcino red but before I commit to ordering I need to see one in the flesh so to speak
dealers say they have not seen one yet - seems strange

have trolled the interweb, struggling. anyone seen / got any photos of one in this colour
or even better know where one is that I could look at in the south east
have pm'd mike@landrover for any suggestions

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks, there is a picture of one from a Canadian which looks good and thats the colour I want - I'm hoping that is the UK spec colour, can't see why it wouldn't be though - to be sure I suppose I need to see a real one

I found some and it looks really nice !! Also I noticed in the Discovery configurator you can choose it as well.

When I googled it, there was a really nice pic of a L405 in Montalcino Red.

I thought the clour of the one on the banner was firenze red thats why I am confused
have ( hopefully ) attached 2 pictures for comparison the darker one was on a canadian website

Just an observation.

The dark red one doesn't look quite right. Many online car configurators simply change the colour of the car in the photo (e.g. Like Photoshop), instead of posting a 'real' photo of that colour car. It not just a JLR thing. Everyone seems to do it. I don't think the electronically altered ones ever look any good - the highlights are for the wrong colour. I think this colour will look much better for real than from the website. Of course, finding a photo may be difficult. Have you tried requesting one from the JLR Customer Relations guy? They could easily send someone down to the factory floor and snap a pic of one as it goes by...

RR2008hse - your right about the configerator colours and that's what I am worried about - don't want to commit to a firm order before have seen the actual colour
nobody seems to able to say when this colour will available to view - will try the local dealers again for some info

what concerns me is that by the time I decide on the colour,the MY15.5 spec will be available and I'll possibly have to start all over again

I have spent more time deciding on the specifying the car than I did buying my house
but its an awful lot of money (90k) and its likely to be the only time I'll do so I guess I should make sure its the one I want

have just checked the colours available in USA & Canada neither offer the range rover in Mantalcino red - only firenze red
this seems to confirm that the picture I found from a canadian dealer has had its colour changed

just received this info from peter at customer relations

"At present due to the timings of the 15 MY Range Rovers, any in Montalcino Red are not scheduled to go into production until after 13th October 2014"
