so my car has a nokia bluetooth in the back cubby

my iphone doesnt see it. but the IIDtool does

2 things

1. one of the erros is no microphone connected

2. IIDtool says it can reflash the bluetooth ecu. now when i press the do it now button a warning comes up saying could result in un useable car!!!! i assume thats a generic warning where some of the other ecus could render the car useless. but could the bluetooth one screw up the car?



the reflash i assume should fix so my phone can see it?

It wouldn't screw up the car as such .. But if the module was to fail you could loose all audio and video in the car Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

I have included a risk chart for each re-flash which explains the precautions and consequences if a failure occurs. In this particular case, the consequences are minimal meaning that if it fails, its just a matter of trying it once more. The vehicle will drive normally but Wiggs`s right, the Audio will not work until its fixed.
