Land Rover still have the rights to the name - the Chinese who bought the company call them "Roewe" instead. |

AFAIK JLR still own the name, while the Chinese bought all the parts, jigs and tools etc. for the Rover 75 ( and maybe others as well). I was told the Chinese name for the car is very similar to the way "Rover" is pronounced in China.
