Main dealer V Indie - Brakes

We just had our 2010 FF serviced at a main dealer, it came back with warnings for front & rear brakes, pads & discs, handbrake shoes, dread to think what they would charge for the work. Shocked

Took it to our local indie who advised new discs and pads on the rear only. 1 hour labour @£45.00 plus parts at £91.17 plus VAT, a great price I would think... Thumbs Up

Check what parts he is fitting, budget brakes are not a terribly good idea on a 2.7t car. Give duckworths or Af factors a go for genuine parts the. Get the indie to fit them.

Probably not a whole heap of difference price wise and you have the proper item on the car. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

He replaced all the brakes on my RR Sport 3 years ago with the same brand and they have been perfect ever since so I have no issues with the quality of the pads.. Thumbs Up

^^+1, buy the brakes from Ducky Dan and get your indy to fit them...

Make sure he knows what to do with an EPB before he removes rear discs though!!! Rolling Eyes
