Steering wheel buttons

Chaps,
I was looking at powerful UK steering wheel button stick on parts however at 84 quid I am thinking that some paint will do the job. Can the binnacle be opened and split for paint please ?

I am doing the spokes so it'd be an ideal chance to do the two

Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Great decision, most things powerfulUK sell are cheap tat IMHO. The only thing I have ever purchased from them was the small PCB's that allegedly cure the fog lamp issue on 2010 rear lights, needless to say they didn't work.

I'm sure many people here are satisfied customers and that's just my opinion.

Not really had anything of value off them, but the YT vids are good....aside from the endless piano loop music...if I can get the binnacle split I will paint it. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I've got the stick-on covers for the wheel centre buttons and the bloody self-edhesive tape wasn't sticky enough. Yes, I fully cleaned and cleaned and wiped and cleaned and so-on.

I used a tiny amount of adhesive to complete the job but I find the cover depth means button operation isn't as easy as it used to be as the buttons are now more recessed. I am rather picky, though.

So, with hindsight, I think painting them would be a better, more 'factory' option.

I'm sure it would be possible to buy a good secondhand 'wheel centre set and try on that. If it works, you simply swap and incur minimal downtime for 'wheel removal. If not, you've not had the relative hassle of removal and disassembly beforehand. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

I have genuine LR piano dash fittings and so after messing with some stick on parts, some vinyl wrap and lots of messing I stripped, primed and painted the bits I wanted with 100% better results. I want the binnacle gloss black and the spokes silver alas no one seems to be able to tell me if the binnacle can be stripped for painting...dont fancy masking up individual buttons !! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I'd disagree SteveyD Whistle I've bought many items from Powerful and found the quality to be excellent Smile

If you have any issues with the products their customer service is top notch and they'll refund you no problem.... I even got a discount off my next item, because they sent me the wrong thing Whistle Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black
