Yes, it's a UK bike. I bought it after geting in late one night and doing some drunk ebay-ing. I put in a low bid and it turned out I was the only bidder. I no longer drink. ![]() It's a 2003 with only 7k miles and I got it for £4k, which is a bit of a bargain. Maybe I should take up drinking again? It's very extreme, certainly not an every day bike. You ride it at high speed for half an hour and that's plenty. At slow speed it's just horrible, the riding position is very uncomfortable and the engine chugs - just very frustrated at going slow. But as you go faster it gets much happier. The wind supports you so you're comfortable and the engine becomes smooth, sounds great and begs for more. I won't pretent to getting anywhere close to its limits, and I will admit that it's the first bike I've had that scares me a little - and that's after many years of riding many bikes - including a Hayabusa that has a lot more grunt. I think it's the riding position, head down, feet high. It's like a DIY labotomy position. Here's the other side. It's a bit of a work of art. Beautiful aluminium frame and swing arm. Gear driven cams. It really is like a Swiss watch in terms of the precision of the parts and quality of the construction.

I find if it's green wood you have to every so often push it back against the wall. Once it's dried out a bit (2-3 months) it's pretty stable. |

So - 27 with the new tyres for the Triumph Rocket. The new Mercedes needes winter wheels so I bought a set which came with tyres, so that's 31. Its summer tyres are also worn out, so will be getting those changed in a few months, so that's 35! |
